God wants to dwell with us and He wants us to dwell with Him. He wants us to be in the place of constant abiding with Him. Jesus came to restore us into relationship with Him. He wants to relate to us and He wants us to live with Him.
“Live in Me. Make your home in Me just as I do in you… When you’re joined with Me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant.”
He wants full surrender of every thought in our minds, so that He can be there and dwell there. We need to abide, remain, and continue in Him so that He is our every thought.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide…”
The way to abide is to dwell in the secret place. David calls it, "the secret place of Your presence" in Psalm 31:20 (NASV). To dwell in God’s presence is how we abide in Him. We dwell on the Word so that His Word will abide in us.
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
The place of full mature authority comes from abiding, dwelling, remaining and continuing in Him. And allowing His word to dwell, abide, and remain in us. This is also called the secret place. It’s the place of the heart and the mind.
“I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places.”
God wants to give hidden riches to us in the secret place. Being in the secret place opens up and creates access to the treasures, mysteries and hidden riches of revelation, intimacy with God and supernatural realms of reality.
“I have set the Lord always before me, I shall not be moved. You show me the path of life, in Your presence is fullness of joy. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
As we dwell in His presence, the secret place, we find our stability, the path that God has for us, complete fullness of joy, and pleasures of God. Now that is amazing.
